Karaoke starts at 6pm Thursday and everyone is welcome! Starz 'N Barz Karaoke will be taking requests all afternoon so make sure you sign up early. Over 17,000 songs to choose from, just tell us your name and what you want to sing and we'll sign you up on the spot! If you want to check in advance to make sure we have your song (WE DO!), email the DJ and we'll try our best to have it ready for you! Mud Bog Racing is featured again this year and starts at 1pm with registration starting at 9am. Tickets will be available at the gate. This year's race will feature 9 classes: Open Class-Speed Pit; Pro Class-Speed Pit; Modified-Speed Pit; Outlaw-18" Pit; Super Street-18" Pit; Hot Street-18" Pit; Street-18" Pit; Outlaw Deep Pit-38" and Under; Outlaw Deep Pit-38" and Over. This write-up comes from "Hillbilly Proud" who filmed the races last year. "The Calhoun County Wood Festival Mud Races held in Grantsville, WV consisted of three mud pits at three depths. A shallow pit, an eighteen-inch pit, and a three-foot pit were all made for the event. The variation made for a great day of fast muddy fun, and the drivers loved being able to drive through what depth they preferred. Demolition
Derby!
A Demolition Derby will take place Friday, June 6. North Central WV Pepsi Point Series Demolition Derby sponsored by the Calhoun County Wood Festival, Grantsville, WV will feature Full Size and 4 Cylinder Demolition Derby classes. Mayberry Memories will be roaming around Grantsville on Saturday, June 7!! Gomer and Barney will have a great time 'meeting and greeting' with the crowd at the 46th Annual Calhoun County Wood Festival, bringing a smile to everyone! They'll sign autographs, clown around and bring back some Mayberry Memories to all! They'll make the rounds giving out tickets for jaywalking, take pictures and sign autographs.
